is learning swahili difficult?

i decided i want to learn it, maybe you guys could give me some suggestions on books to help me learn

Sorry! I probably only know the day and year word but the only Swahilian word I could only think of is the word mwaka because I was interested into looking up how to say the English word "year" in many different languages. I only know that people in Swahili call 1 revolution around the sun there a mwaka. I don't even know how to pronounce mwaka. Is there a silent character in this word?

    sorry, this isn't answering your question, but i've never heard of any one else wanting to learn swahili! i've been to tanzania and i picked up a few words and 1 sentence, but other than that i don't know anything, but i would love to learn it!

    I don't think no one can really tell you if it will be difficult for you to learn Swahili. Why don't you find out for yourself?

    i now that the alphabet are not that hard my cousin now the language and its pretty cool and interesting

    Swahili is an easy language, its use is widespread, and it may be that there is no language more easy to learn.
